Burton to beat Accrington @ 4/5
The Brewers have responded well to their EFL Cup drubbing by Manchester City and are having a decent second half of the season in League One. Reliable front man Lucas Akins has scored in three straight games after netting in last Saturday’s fine 3-0 defeat of Blackpool, Liam Boyce ended his drought in that match and Jamie Allen continues to chip in from midfield. We reckon the Brewers are worth following in our football accumulator tips.
Luton to beat Doncaster @ 3/4
Mick Harford’s Hatters are five points clear at the top of the League One table and unbeaten in this division since mid-October. A record of 14 wins and five draws from 19 games at Kenilworth Road is obviously impressive, with a whopping 46 goals scored in those fixtures. Former Aston Villa trainee James Collins has been in cracking form up front all season and we fear sixth-placed Doncaster will be game, but outgunned.
MK Dons to beat Yeovil @ 11/25
Paul Tisdale’s side have just faltered in their last couple of fixtures, but this is a golden opportunity to get back to the form which saw them previously rattle off five straight victories to cement a place in the League Two play-off picture. Yeovil have suffered three straight defeats without getting on the scoresheet and are on a run of six consecutive losses on the road, netting only once during those trips.
Mansfield to beat Crewe @ 19/20
The Stags had to settle for a share of the spoils when hosting Lincoln last time out after conceding a 75th-minute penalty but that was a sterling effort against the League Two leaders. Mansfield had almost 60 per cent of the possession that day and prolific marksman Tyler Walker will be looking to take advantage of any similar dominance here. The Nottingham Forest loanee struck in a 3-0 win at Crewe earlier this season.
Carlisle to beat Cambridge @ 11/10
Steven Pressley’s men put in an eye-catching display at Forest Green last weekend, when only a superb display from Rovers keeper Lewis Ward, on loan from Reading, prevented the Cumbrians from coming out on top. That 1-1 draw still kept them in contention to make the League Two play-offs and now they must look to find a killer instinct on home turf. Cambridge often have their limitations exposed away from home, so this is a solid selection to finish off our football accumulator tips.
