We’re continuing our weekly La Liga predictions with a four-timer picked from Sunday’s fixtures that will hopefully give us a pay-out of nearly 13/1.
Widely regarded as one of the most entertaining competitions in Europe, this division should provide us with plenty of betting opportunities over the season.
Villarreal to win at Leganes @ 29/20
Both of these teams are at the wrong end of the La Liga table, with just one point from three games, but we reckon Villarreal have much more scope for improvement once finding top gear. Gerard Moreno was a reliable marksman for Espanyol before being snapped up over the summer, while new strike partner Karl Toko Ekambi netted 17 times for French club Angers in Ligue 1 last season. Once that pairing gets fully up to speed, the Yellow Submarines will sink plenty of opponents.
Espanyol to beat Levante @ 3/4
Espanyol are always tough to beat at home and recorded a rock-solid 2-0 triumph over Valencia in their first La Liga match at RCDE Stadium this season, with Esteban Granero and Borja Iglesias Quintas netting in the second half. Levante will be satisfied with their start, picking up four points so far and seeing both Roger and Jose Luis Morales in good form going forward, but they have looked vulnerable at the back in the last couple of fixtures and are worth taking on in our La Liga predictions.
Real Valladolid to beat Alaves @ 11/10
Sergio Gonzalez’s side have yet to score a goal this season but will be pleased with the resilience shown in defence. Valladolid have picked up useful points from draws at Girona and Getafe and only went down to a solitary Ousmane Dembele strike when hosting Barcelona. It was always going to take time for a much-changed forward line to gel together, but young Turkish striker Enes Unal remains a hot prospect, having once been on Manchester City’s books.
Sevilla to beat Getafe @ 53/100
Sevilla will be keen to bounce back from a disappointing 1-0 defeat at Real Betis before the international break, when conceding late on after Roque Mesa had seen red. Pablo Machin’s side had previously impressed in Europa League action this term and when securing a 4-1 domestic success at Rayo Vallecano, where Andre Silva hit a hat-trick. Getafe are an honest, hard-working bunch, but may just have their limitations exposed on this occasion.
