What Trueform says for Burnley vs Everton
At first glance, Everton look to have the edge on our Trueform ratings, but closer inspection of the chart points us towards Burnley instead.
The Toffees have picked up two good wins, but those twin peaks came at Goodison Park, whereas the marks dip significantly for recent away defeats.
With their hosts being solid at Turf Moor, 31/20 for the Clarets to pick up maximum points gets the nod in our Burnley vs Everton betting predictions.
A Look At Burnley’s Betting Odds
Burnley have gone 11 Premier League matches without claiming victory but they have had plenty of tough fixtures during that time.
Sean Dyche will be encouraged by recent exploits at Turf Moor, with the Clarets drawing 1-1 with Manchester City and then being unfortunate not to beat Southampton on Saturday.
Ashley Barnes’ close-range goal looked set to be enough to see off the Saints, until Manolo Gabbiadini snatched a 90th-minute equaliser after referee Bobby Madley had hampered Burnley in the build-up.
“I thought we’d done enough to win the game,” said Dyche. “Without being brilliant, I thought we were solid.
“We’re still getting back to when we were really on top of our performances, but it was a solid performance certainly in a closeish game.”
A Look At Everton’s Betting Odds
Everton were also undone late on when Watford captain Troy Deeney bagged the only goal of a drab game in the 79th minute at Vicarage Road.
That was a fourth straight top-flight defeat on the road for Sam Allardyce’s side, with only one goal scored in those fixtures, since a bore draw at West Brom on Boxing Day.
The Toffees invested heavily in Theo Walcott and Cenk Tosun during the January window, but Allardyce believes they are yet to recover from losing Romelu Lukaku last summer.
“Whatever the rest of the team is or isn’t, without that goalscorer you’re going to struggle more than you did the season before and that’s exactly what we’ve done,” he said.
“This is our 41st game; too many players all at once accumulated together, none of those being a clinical goalscorer, you fall into trouble.”
We’re finishing off our Burnley vs Everton betting tips by taking 15/4 for a home win and under 2.5 goals in the game, just as when the Clarets won 1-0 on Merseyside back in October.
