The gridiron season is in full swing and we’re continuing our regular Sunday NFL predictions with a 21/4 treble for punters to consider.
Bwin has a whole host of team and player betting markets on every match but we’re sticking to the money line and spread odds for our Week 8 selections.
Colts to beat Titans @ 5/6
Tennessee did us a favour last Sunday when following up a thrilling 34-31 win over Buffalo with a 27-3 drubbing of Kansas City to move to 5-2 at the top of the AFC South but this could be time to jump ship.
The Titans can also take heart from a 25-16 home triumph over Indianapolis in Week 3 but the Colts have improved since slipping to 0-3 that day, prevailing in three of their four subsequent matches.
Carson Wentz has been the key figure in that upturn in fortunes, throwing eight touchdown passes and no interceptions in those games behind a progressive offensive line, and the feeling is home advantage may help the Colts to gain revenge at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Chargers -6 points vs Patriots @ 19/20
Rookie quarterback Mac Jones has shown some promise in leading the Patriots to 3-4 but beating the Jets twice and the Texans isn’t enough to convince us that New England have found a worthy successor to Tom Brady.
The Chargers have a fearsome pass rush, powered by the relentless Joey Bosa, and a rock-solid secondary, so Jones will have to prove his worth in far more testing conditions at SoFi Stadium in California.
If Los Angeles can stop Damian Harris on the ground, second-season signal caller Justin Herbert has the wide receiver weapons to do plenty of damage.
The Chargers are a different team from when crushed 45-0 by New England last December but memories of that mauling should inspire them to keep piling on the points if getting on top here.
Cowboys to win away to Vikings @ 3/4
Both of these teams have built up some strong momentum, with Dallas clear in the NFC East at 5-1 and Minnesota having won three of their last four since starting out with two defeats.
Kind schedules have helped in each case but we just reckon the Cowboys’ high-tempo offense will have too much pace for an admittedly underrated Vikings defense.
Dak Prescott is living up to his superstar status (and hefty wage bill) while CeeDee Lamb has taken a big step forward this term and a resurgent Ezekiel Elliott looks fired up again alongside complimentary running back Tony Pollard.
