It could be a case of now or never for Belgium as their star-studded squad looks to shine at a World Cup and beating Panama first up can give them a nice confidence boost.
Los Canaleros caused a stir by qualifying for the tournament for the first time, with the USA missing out as a result, but are rank outsiders in Group G.
This should be easy work for Roberto Martinez’s side and 29/20 they win by more than two clear goals kicks off our Belgium vs Panama betting tips.
A Look At Belgium’s Betting Odds
A Belgium squad including the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku should be in contention to win major tournaments.
However, the Red Devils have a point to prove after crashing out of the last World Cup and Euro 2016 in the quarter-finals.
“We are good players, we all play in the big games in England, in Italy and in Spain,” said Chelsea star Hazard.
“We have a golden generation – we just want to win something now.”
Belgium were certainly consistent in qualifying for Russia 2018, dropping only two points in 10 games, with 43 goals scored and just six conceded.
Recent warm-up results have also been encouraging, with a draw against Portugal followed by a 3-0 triumph over Egypt and a 4-1 defeat of Costa Rica.
Manchester United striker Lukaku showed he has fully recovered from the injury which affected the end of his club campaign by netting three times in those wins.
A Look At Panama’s Betting Odds
Panama’s players have put their country on the footballing map, with a dramatic 2-1 win over Costa Rica in the final round of qualifiers securing third place in the CONCACAF region.
However, the minnows had been thrashed 4-0 by the USA just four days earlier and must also improve on their friendly results.
Switzerland crushed them 6-0 in March, Denmark and Norway have also beaten them without conceding and Northern Ireland held out for a goalless draw in Panama City at the end of last month.
Head coach Hernan Dario Gomez brings some nous and know-how to the party, having previously led his native Colombia and Ecuador to World Cup tournaments.
Los Canaleros look outclassed here, though, and 5/1 for a 3-0 scoreline completes our Belgium vs Panama betting predictions.
